Wedding Cinematography: Booking FAQ
How much coverage will I need?
Wedding cinematography typically begins with the bride and groom getting ready. We start filming about 1.5 – 2 hours before you leave for your First Look or Ceremony. In the evening, we continue until about an hour after the dance floor opens to catch some of the party. Hopefully that will give you a rough idea of how much coverage you will need, and we can certainly offer advice if you’re still unsure. Additional hours can be added easily if needed.
Are you insured?
Yes, we carry full $2 million liability insurance for our wedding video business. This also allows us to be be licensed for work in Banff and Yoho National Parks.
What is your policy for travel?
We don’t charge for travel within a one-hour drive of Calgary and Banff. Beyond that, there may be additional travel costs. We look at this on a case-by-case basis and provide an estimate up front.
What forms of payment do you accept?
For your convenience, we accept cash, e-transfer, cheques, and all major credit cards. There are no additional processing fees.
Do we meet before the wedding?
A few months before your wedding we send out a pre-wedding questionnaire. We’ll ask for the timeline and about details, style, and music. Once we’ve received the completed questionnaire, we like to schedule a pre-wedding Zoom call. This helps us to get to know you better, answer questions, and puts us all on the same page. If you’ve opted for wedding day interviews we’ll also go over the kinds of questions we like to ask (spoiler alert: they’re pretty easy.)
If we need more hours, do we have to that book in advance?
No, we’re super flexible. We try to make sure you’ve booked the right amount of coverage to begin with, but sometimes the schedule can slip. Just let us know and we’ll keep filming as long as needed. We suggest booking based on your best estimate of what you think you’ll need.
How will you deliver our wedding film?
We deliver all of our wedding videos online via a custom, private webpage. You can view, share, and download your videos there. You can also watch them on a big-screen TV via Apple Airplay or Google Chromecast. Once you give us the green light, we’ll share your wedding film on YouTube and Facebook too.
Can we make changes to our wedding video?
Yes, but only to a limited extent. We trust that you’ve seen our style and like it. We’ll always correct technical errors such as spelling mistakes, and changing a shot or two isn’t a problem (for example if there is someone in your video you want removed.) We have an approach that yields consistently great results and we always strive to create the best possible wedding film for you.
What if I have to reschedule my wedding?
If we’re available, and the new date is within one year of the original, we’ll send an amendment to the agreement revising the wedding date and apply any money already paid. In exceptional circumstances we’ll even reschedule beyond one year.

How do we book?
Easy. Just fill out the form above and hit submit. We’ll collect some information from you then send a link to our easy online booking system. Payment is made in thirds: 1/3 on booking to reserve the date, 1/3 two months prior to the wedding, and the final third due one week prior to the big day.
